death by drowning
a friend's death is never easy to deal with, or is ever forgotten. this series is an attempt at understanding, and finding beauty in something tragic. i played with colors, using various types of lighting and bodies of water. i like the plasticity and distortion that occur in and on the surface of water. all images were shot on color film, using my canon ae-1 and a disposable underwater camera. they were hand-printed. thanks so much to my friends in these pictures, who endured the cold water very patiently, and helped me overcome the sadness by participating in this project.
